Charles has been a king in waiting for many years and during that period has been involved with
numerous charities with a focus on volunteering.

Monday the 8th May, a bank holiday, has been named the day of the ‘Big Help Out’

Charities and organisations are encouraged to highlight their activities and the positive impact they have on communities across Warwickshire on this day. If you are an organisation that needs volunteer help to support your activities, you could hold an open day, be present at any of the local parks to talk to people and upload events and volunteering opportunities on Social Media.

The Royal Voluntary Service is organising the awards to acknowledge the contributions of volunteers across the UK. They will commend outstanding volunteers from all communities and also aim to inspire others to explore what volunteering has to offer. There will be eight categories of awards, from volunteering in health or animal welfare, to supporting the environment or sports and heritage. Anyone can nominate a volunteer they know for an award. Judges will also be on the lookout to celebreate rising starts as 'Young Coronation Champions' (aged 14 to 18).

The awardsopened for nominations on 20th February 2023 and will close on 2nd April. 500 Coronation Champions will be announced before the Coronation weekend.
